We take passionate people and provide them with the
training they need to provide the best instruction for our
athletes. From our recreational coaches all the way to
Directors, we provide continuous training to enable Summit
Staff to do their jobs to the best of their ability.
Beyond the initial Summit Athletix training process, all coaches are certified in the following:
First Aid, CPR and AED training
up to the USASF level they coach
USASF green light certification
Summit Athletix Tumbling Certification
Training for our staff does not stop after the initial employment training. We are committed to continuously learning about our sport and how to better train our athletes.
PURPOSE
Prioritizing SAFETY
SAFETY TRAINING
All staff is trained on all Summit Safety policies and procedures and are required to pass an initial
safety test before coaching a class without assistance. (See Summit Safety Plan) In addition, all staff
are certified in First Aid, CPR and AED use.
INJURY PREVENTION
We prioritize safety by emphasizing injury prevention. We structure our practices to prepare the body
for activity, ensuring large muscle groups are warm before extensive activity. More information is
provided in the Summit Safety Plan.
EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN
In the event an injury does occur, all staff is trained in our Emergency Procedures. Attached is an
overview of our Emergency Action Plan. The full plan describes detailed action steps for each
emergency. All staff and coaches are trained extensively in each section. The detailed Emergency Plan
is available upon request and is posted by the front desk.
SIGN IN / OUT
To ensure we know which athletes are in the gym at all times, we require athletes to sign in, first thing,upon arrival. The sign in screen has been placed conveniently by the entrance.
All Athletes are required to sign in and out of the gym using the screen in the reception area
Athletes 13 years and older may sign themselves in and out of the gym
Athletes under 13 years of age will need to have an authorized person sign them out of the gym.
This authorized person must physically come into the gym to pick up the child and sign him/her
out.
Athletes should not wait in the parking lot after dark for parents.
Parents are not required to stay with children ages 6 and up for the duration of class, but must have anemergency contact number on file at all times.
