Tumbling Class Options

Preschool Tumbling

(Ages 4-5 Years)

Our preschool tumbling class focuses on introducing the youngest athletes to the sport through a curriculum centered on basic coordination and proper body positioning. Students begin learning foundational tumbling skills in a high-energy environment designed to build athletic awareness and confidence. To support these early milestones, our program encourages parents to stay and watch their athletes in action as they develop their new skills.

Intro to Tumbling

Our intro to tumbling class is designed for any athlete who is brand new to the sport. In this level, we focus on developing basic coordination and proper body positioning as we begin introducing foundational skills. To ensure a strong base for future progression, we require athletes to master specific movements like the handstand, cartwheel, and bridge with excellent execution before they move on to our Level 1 classes.

Level 1 Beginner

Our Level 1 Beginner class is the perfect starting point for athletes who are just beginning to explore tumbling fundamentals. Here, we focus on building the foundational skills — backbends, roundoffs, and basic handstand progressions — that every strong tumbler needs to grow.

Level 1 Advanced

Our Level 1 Advanced class is where athletes begin connecting skills and building real momentum in their tumbling journey. With foundational movements in place, we shift our focus to refining walkovers, strengthening roundoff technique, and introducing the backhandspring progressions that set athletes up for Level 2.

Level 2 Tumbling

Our Level 2 class is designed for athletes who have already mastered their front and back walkovers. In this level, we focus on the transition to power skills, specifically working on the execution and strength required for standing and running handsprings. We emphasize proper technique in these movements to ensure our athletes are fully prepared for the flipping skills introduced in later levels.

Level 3 Tumbling

Our Level 3 class is designed for athletes who have already mastered their front and back handsprings. In this stage of our curriculum, we transition into flipping skills, specifically focusing on the power and form needed for punch fronts and tucks. We ensure our athletes have a strong, controlled foundation in these movements before they advance to twisting and layout-oriented skills.

Level 4 Tumbling

Our Level 4 class is tailored for athletes who have successfully mastered their punch fronts and tucks. The primary objective at this stage is developing the air awareness and body hollow needed to master the layout. We focus on maintaining a straight body position throughout the rotation to ensure a smooth transition into our advanced twisting levels.

Level 5 Tumbling

Our Level 5 Tumbling class is designed for athletes who have already mastered their layouts and standing tucks and are ready to begin training elite twisting skills. At this level, athletes focus on the technique, timing, and body control required for full twisting layouts. Emphasis is placed on tight body positions, proper set mechanics, and safe progression as athletes learn to combine advanced flipping and twisting elements into their tumbling passes. Training is centered around building consistency, confidence, and precision to prepare athletes for higher-level rotational skills.

Level 6 Tumbling

Our Level 6 Tumbling class is designed for athletes who have demonstrated strong mastery and consistency with full twisting layouts and are ready to progress into double full twisting layouts and other elite multi-rotation skills. Training at this level emphasizes increased rotational speed, explosive power, advanced air awareness, and sophisticated landing techniques necessary for high-level twisting passes. Athletes will continue refining technique while developing the control and confidence needed to safely perform elite tumbling skills with consistency and precision.
